Term Limits-Will they fix Congress?

The Founders Speak: “Nothing appears more plausible at first sight, nor more ill-founded upon close inspection.”- Alexander Hamilton, Major Author of the Federalist Papers

“[Term limits] tended to destroy the great motive to good behavior, the hope of being rewarded by a re-appointment. It was saying to him, 'make hay while the sun shines.” - Gouverneur Morris, Major Author of the Constitution

“The people should be at liberty to choose the ablest and best men ...yet upon the present term limits supposition, the people voluntarily resign this right, and shackle their own choice...” - John Adams, 2nd US President

Did You Know? States with Term Limits have experienced: Less accountability since elected officials are “lame ducks” during their last term. A shrinking pool of eligible and quality candidates. No increase in voter turnout. More control shifted to lobbyists due to a loss of experienced legislators. No decline in the number of career politicians.

Is the problem the Constitution, or is it the voters who elect those who are supposed to follow the Constitution and do not?

What should be the criteria for Term Limits anyway?Time in office Or Their Voting Records?

The root problem is not the government but the people who elect the government. Government is always reflective of the society that instituted the government and maintains it. If the people do not change, government will not change no matter what amendments are forthcoming to the Constitution. The solution is a grassroots educational campaign to educate and then activate citizens to uphold the Constitution and vote accordingly.

Example: Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi gets re-elected over and over again by a huge majority of the voters in her district, ranging from 85 % in 2012 to 77% in 2020. IF Nancy were to be Term Limited, do you really think the voters will put in a constitutional conservative to fill her seat? Unless the voters are educated on the dangers of Socialism and big government, it will simply be replacing one bad representative with another bad representative. Perhaps they will vote in her grand-daughter, as they like to keep it within the family! Every district will have the same problem. They are re-electing bad politicians and a Term Limits Amendment will NOT fix that. Only educating the voters will fix that!

Term Limits That Does Work: Every bad elected official should be IMMEDIATELY replaced at the next election. Term Limits at the next election is a right every voter already has. If time and effort is taken to educate voters of basic constitutional principles and the danger of too much government, then voters can replace those destroying our freedom at the next election. That can be done in a matter of months, NOT years that a Term Limits Amendment will require. People have been trying to pass this amendment for over 40 years! Its time to stop riding this dead horse and start EDUCATING THE VOTERS so we can get immediate improvement at the next election. There is NO MAGIC SOLUTION to fixing Congress. The voters are the problem. EDUCATE THEM using Overview of America – a 30 minute video

Regarding a Constitutional Convention: “In order to balance by law the budget, to put prayer to God and Mammon in the schools, to forbid abortion, pornography and drugs ... they have set in motion the great engine that will overthrow the very Constitution which they insist be so strictly constructed.” - Gore Vidal, “Reconvene the Convention and Rewrite the Document,” LA Times, 6-7-87

Dangers of a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con): Those who want to re-write the Constitution are using the Convention of States and other groups to promote a Con-Con to pass amendments. They are not interested in the amendments but want the opportunity to re-write the Constitution. They claim that there is no danger of a run away and that it can be limited to a single issue.

The Legal Use of Marijuana in AZ

The landscape of marijuana legality in the United States has shifted dramatically in recent years, with many states embracing legalization for both medicinal and recreational use.

Arizona is no exception to this trend. As of recent developments, understanding the legal use of marijuana in Arizona involves navigating both its medical and recreational frameworks, alongside ongoing societal and regulatory changes.

Arizona was one of the early states to legalize medical marijuana.

In 2010, voters approved the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA), allowing patients with qualifying conditions to obtain a medical marijuana card. Qualifying conditions include chronic pain, cancer, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and several other debilitating diseases. To obtain a medical marijuana card, patients must be certified by a physician who is registered with the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS).

The application requires proof of residency, a doctor’s recommendation, and payment of a registration fee. Once approved, cardholders can purchase marijuana from licensed dispensaries across the state, possess up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana, and cultivate up to 12 plants for personal use.

The AMMA has established a robust regulatory framework, including strict guidelines for the operation of dispensaries and the cultivation of marijuana. Dispensaries must be licensed and are subject to inspections to ensure compliance. This framework aims to ensure patient safety and product quality.

The most significant change came in November 2020, when voters passed Proposition 207, legalizing the recreational use of marijuana. This landmark decision marked a shift in public perception and policy regarding cannabis.

Under Proposition 207, adults aged 21 and over can legally possess up to one ounce of marijuana. They can also cultivate up to six plants per person, with a maximum of 12 plants per household. However, the use of marijuana in public spaces remains prohibited, and driving under the influence of marijuana has penalties similar to those for alcohol-related offenses.

The sale of recreational marijuana is subject to a 16% excise tax, in addition to state and local sales taxes.

Revenue generated from these taxes is allocated to various public programs, including education and healthcare initiatives.

Despite the steps taken towards legalization, challenges accompany the rollout of recreational marijuana.

Local municipalities in Arizona retain the right to regulate or ban marijuana businesses, resulting in a patchwork of laws across the state. While some cities, like Phoenix and Tucson, have embraced dispensaries, others have opted for restrictions or outright bans.

This inconsistency can create confusion for both consumers and businesses. Additionally, the impact of marijuana on the workforce and public safety continues to be a topic of discussion. Employers are still allowed to enforce drug-free workplace policies, which may include testing for marijuana use, raising questions about the rights of employees who may legally use marijuana outside of work yet still face potential disciplinary actions.

Research surrounding the health impacts of marijuana use is ongoing, and while many studies point to potential benefits, particularly for medical patients, there are drawbacks to consider.

As recreational use becomes more mainstream, ensuring that consumers are educated about responsible use and potential health risks is paramount. Public health campaigns have emerged to address concerns regarding access and use among teenagers, and the potential for increased addiction rates.

Balancing the recreational use of marijuana with public health initiatives is a crucial aspect of the ongoing legal narrative in Arizona.

The legal use of marijuana in Arizona reflects a broader societal change toward cannabis acceptance, balancing the interests of public health, safety, and individual freedom.

As the regulatory frameworks continue to evolve, discussions regarding education, and social impact will play a critical role in shaping the future of marijuana in the state.

Arizona stands as a significant case study in the ongoing national debate about the legalization of marijuana, offering insights into both the opportunities and challenges that accompany such fundamental policy changes.

America First Committee

Let’s start off the new year with an understanding of what the America First Committee is and is not.

I have revived and rejuvenated the original America First Committee of 1940 to give people a better organized movement than we now have. Join us to restore our de-jure Republic. Make “America First” daily and help unite our nation!

The America First Committee isn't a political party. Think of it as a repair kit, educating "We The People" on how our country has been pieced apart by the globalist and showing them how to restore our de-jure Republic, county by county.

Our understanding of "America First" is profound and transformative. "America First" is a lifestyle and must become the national mindset and worldview! This requires a mindset shift amongst "We The People."

The “America First Committee” isn't part of the “Conservative or Republican” moderate spectacle. We aim to clarify the confusion caused by the two-party system.

We oppose dividing Americans into parties or teams, like red vs. blue or left vs. right.

Stability comes from unity of the people being in one mindset. This mindset must be a firm "America First" approach, not a secondary thought. It must become a “way of life.”

The “America First Committee” and the “America First movement” are not “collectivism” and do not accept this form of social order. The America First Committee and the America First movement is a “Social Order” of it’s own. You can only be in control of your destiny by changing your mindset to the “America First social order.”

You have already pledged your “duty” to “another political social order” that is “controlled opposition” to the “America First Committee and the America First movement.” You are not in control of your destiny as long as you support the “globalist social order.”

You will have to make a decision to escape this old political globalist social order by exchanging your old mindset to the “new America First social order mindset.” When you make the change you will have the freedom you seek.

The “America First” social order is explained in depth in our 2nd newsletter. Don’t be shy subscribe to our newsletter on our website. You will be very happy that you did.

By reading my book, “The America First Committee: A Blueprint For National Prosperity”, you will have the key to the problems we face with the “old political social order.” You also will be able to spot a globalist within a short time. My book gives the history of the beginning of the 1940 America First Committee and it’s goals then and now. You will understand what the America First Committee is all about and will help you understand what it means when it is said that “America First” must become the National Thought and World View of all Americans.

The “America First Movement” is not complete at this time because of the “infiltration” of the “globalist” and by “people hanging on to the old globalist social order mindset.” This in part is what is causing the division we see in the political realm.

The “globalist interventionist old social order mindset” is now being exposed and people are starting to see what has been happening for sometime in our political two party system.

By reading my book and going through the “included information” on our website and reading the newsletter you will see the ideology of the America First Committee as well as the ideology of the globalist. This will inspire you to start vetting not only the “old globalist social order mindset” but the globalist as well.

This vetting starts and ends in everyone's mind. Knowledge is power but also freedom. Once you know the truth the truth sets you free. Free from the “mental slavery” of the “old globalist social order.”

You are the missing link for bring unity to America. You are invited to join us in restoring our de-jure Republic. See my ad with our website information in this newspaper.
